Our award winning restaurant is widely recommended.  Our menus change regularly to take advantage of the freshest of local produce from Islay’s superb larder.

Below is designed purely to give you an idea of the style of dishes we offer.  If you prefer plainer fare, there is always an option of simply grilled steaks and fish.  All our dishes are prepared to order so can be modified to suit any dietary requirements.

Seafood, delivered directly from our local fishermen

 

… the island’s famous Loch Gruinart Oysters simply served with lemon and tabasco or‘rockefeller’ – grilled with a spinach, parsley and lemon butter crust, with a hint of an Islay malt;
… tian of Islay Lobster and Crab, garnished with Squat Lobsters and an avocado salsa
… steamed Mussels with white wine, cream, garlic, chorizo sausage and tomatoes
… seared Islay Scallops with a quenelle of beetroot jam, finished with a warm lime dressing
…  fillet of Monkfish wrapped in Oak-smoked Salmon on a mushroom risotto with a citrus and honey vierge

With our full range of Islay single malts, together with our fine wine list to complement your ‘Taste of Islay’ experience, we hope to give you an extra memory to take home

We also offer more casual food in our Schooner Single Malt & Wine Bar; at both lunchtime and in the evening where we feature mostly seafood but also have alternatives dishes on the blackboard.  The Schooner is cosy and atmospheric, a great place to relax.

The Conservatory here at “ The Harbour “  is a haven with stunning views across the water over to the Paps of Jura;    Just sit back, relax and enjoy our comprehensive coffee and tea menu served with our home-baking.
